The Association of British Philatelic Societies, working with the Philatelic Traders’ Association recently brought The Philatelic Congress of Great Britain to Torquay for the first time since 1959.

The Club will be holding its Annual General Meeting on Thursday 10th August 2023, at  St. Michael’s Church Hall, Chudleigh Road, Kingsteignton, TQ12 3JU.

Doors will open at around 7:00pm and the meeting will start at &:30 prompt.

Please note that the club will hold its 2022 Annual General Meeting on 28th July 2022.

The Wessex Federation has recently competed in the Stampex 2020 Virtual Inter-Federation Competition.  Wessex entered a three-person team, and the results have just been announced

• Gary Green  “The Life of Bees”  was awarded Gold
• Jim Wigmore “Cyprus Air Mail”    was awarded Vermeil
• Dave Cleaver “Postage Dues at Filton”     was awarded Silver

Our congratulations go to each of them, as well as to

• Thames Valley Federation   who were placed first
• Scottish Federation     who were placed second, and
• Surrey Federation     who were placed third
